Hill District

Our New Home in the Hill District

Since 2015, The Citizen Science Lab is proud to serve as a partner to the residents of Pittsburgh’s Hill District. We provide free services for the Hill District through our partnerships with Miller African Centered Academy, Pittsburgh Milliones (UPrep), The University of Pittsburgh Community Engagement Center, and other Hill community organizations.

We’re thrilled to share that Project Dream is almost fully completed! We’re now stocking the new facility and getting everything ready to welcome students and families this summer. This state of the art laboratory will be a beacon for hands-on STEM learning. A place where the community can explore, experiment, and discover their passion for science.

None of this would be possible without you! We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our donors, partners, and community members who have believed in this vision and made it a reality. From those who supported Project Dream to the individuals and organizations who stood by us every step of the way. Thank you for investing in accessible STEM education for our community.

Opening This Summer!

Our new permanent home at the MLK site will serve as a hub for learning, creativity, and possibility for years to come. We are excited to embark on this new chapter of making hands-on STEM accessible to Pittsburgh (and beyond) and we’re starting with Summer Camps! Visit the Summer Camps page to explore the camps and register your scientist(s)!

If you know of someone who is interested in learning more about our work, please have them contact us. We’d love to welcome them to our community!
